American Culture Club of Sibiu

The American Culture Club of Sibiu is an extracurricular club based on the campus of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. The club sponsors American cultural events and discussion of current social issues, in addition to providing an English speaking environment for various social and cultural gatherings. Moreover, the club creates opportunities to gain experience planning events and organizing discussions for the students of LBUS.

Yesterday evening 15 students met in Room 61 to discuss St. Patrick’s Day in the United States! They learned about the history of the holiday and Irish immigrants coming to the U.S., in addition to specific St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in cities across the U.S. Everyone also sampled Irish Soda Bread and had the opportunity to learn about its history in Ireland and the United States.
