Inaugural Meeting 2009
The first meeting of the American Culture Club of Sibiu was held on Thursday, October 22 in Room 61 of the Faculty of Arts and Letters at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. Approximately 20 students, staff and community members attended the meeting. The goal of the night was to plan cultural events for the upcoming semester that are of interest to students. The club will sponsor the following events through out the semester on Thursday nights at 17.00 in Room 61:
October 29—Halloween Fun Night (please come in your best costumes!)
November 5—Astra Film Festival and American films
November 12—Famous American Writers
November 19—What’s college like in the United States?
November 26—Thanksgiving Holiday Traditions
December 3—Beatnik Coffeehouse and Poetry Reading
December 10—Holiday movie night
